Overview

The Centre for One Health & Neglected Tropical Diseases in Trans Nzoia, Kenya, is a regional hub fostering interdisciplinary education and practical training for the prevention, control, and elimination of zoonotic and neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). Through strategic partnerships with Kibabii University, USIU, Hebrew University, Hadassah Medical Centre, Tufts University School of Medicine, SD Ltd, Impulso K Ltd, ElsMed Ltd,  and CTI Africa, the Centre offers a robust catalogue of short courses tailored to frontline professionals, government officers, researchers, and community-based implementers across East and Central Africa.

The Centre is also supported by the Trans Nzoia County Government and other participating counties for policy alignment, intersectoral coordination, and community connection. Sema Community Development NGO leads community engagement, donor and partner relations, administrative and logistics coordination, and ensures prudent financial management and accountable disbursements to support effective project implementation at the grassroots level.
